St. Luke's Named "Best Hospital" in Region by Readers of Lehigh Valley Magazine

Bethlehem, PA (06/29/2009) - St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network has once again been voted the region's "Best Hospital" by the readers of Lehigh Valley Magazine in their 14th annual "Best of the Valley" readers poll. More than 8,000 online and paper ballots were cast for preferred business providers across a variety of industries including health care. St. Luke's and the other category winners will be recognized tonight at Lehigh Valley Magazine's "Best of the Valley" awards dinner at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Fogelsville. The winners also will be featured in Lehigh Valley Magazine's July/August issue.

    St. Luke's Saved My Life Fifty-three year old man went into sudden cardiac arrest and was found unconscious on the floor in the Giant Supermarket on Broad Street in Quakertown. St. Luke's Emergency Transport Services, Quakertown Police Department and Quakertown Fire Department were successful in recovering a pulse with early CPR, early defibrillation and medications.

    Wound Management Center Opens in Allentown St. Luke's Hospital – Allentown Campus opened a brand new Wound Management Center to address a growing population of patients with non-healing wounds due to diabetes, vascular problems and other underlying diseases. The center began seeing patients in mid-January, but was officially opened at a ceremony on March 4.
