What happens next?
After the information program, the genetic counselor or oncology nurse will...
- Draw a family tree
- Assist in confirming family cancer history
- Discuss your hereditary cancer risk
With your permission, this information can be shared with the Cancer Risk Evaluation Program of the University of Pennsylvania. Should you want to have genetic testing, another appointment is made so you can sign permission forms and have blood drawn for testing.
