For women with breast, ovarian, uterine or cervical cancers, the St. Luke’s Woman’s Cancer Counselor is ready to offer emotional support during diagnosis and treatment and serve as a patient/family resource throughout the continuum of care. The St. Luke’s Woman’s Cancer Counselor:

  • Serves as an advocate for patients
  • Provides counseling support to patients and family members
  • Helps during diagnosis and treatment
  • Facilitates the St. Luke’s Active Pink Support Group for women with breast cancer
  • Makes links to services and community agencies, including transportation as available
  • Helps with the completion of disability and other insurance forms, as needed
