Outstanding Skills and Experience at St. Luke’s to Treat Heart Problems

The health care professionals in St. Luke’s Regional Heart Center work together to provide patients with the best heart care. Members of St. Luke’s heart team have an impressive level of skill, commitment and dedication. Staff members are certified in advanced life support and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in heart care through continuing education.

The members of the St. Luke’s Regional Heart Center team include:

  • Board-certified cardiologists and heart surgeons
  • Registered nurses, case managers and clinical nurse specialists
  • Operating room staff
  • Staff from respiratory, pastoral care, nutrition services, health and fitness and rehabilitation services

Care does not end with a hospital stay. The care team at the St. Luke’s Regional Heart Center knows how important it is to help patients manage their heart condition when they go home. So, before leaving St. Luke’s, patients will:

  • Meet with a nutritionist
  • Meet with a care coordinator, who will discuss appropriate home care options
  • Receive a prescription to begin cardiac rehabilitation four weeks after discharge
