Every community’s first line of defense against traumatic injuries is its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and other first-responders, including fire fighters and police officers. It is vitally important to the safety of the community and to quality patient care that these groups work together to stay at the forefront of the fast-paced changes affecting the health care field. Therefore, the St. Luke’s Adult Level 1 Trauma Center provides professional continuing education programs to meet EMS and other first responders’ licensing/educational requirements.
