Safety Education and Injury Prevention
In addition to treating injuries, St. Luke’s Adult Level 1 Trauma Center also has a responsibility to educate the community about preventing injuries. To fulfill this commitment, St. Luke’s Adult Level 1 Trauma Center employs a full-time education specialist who coordinates community and patient education and injury prevention programs. All programs are free and age-appropriate for children, adolescents, adults or older adults.
In addition, St. Luke's Adult Level 1 Trauma Center is also active in the Medical Professionals as Advocates Program (MPAP), which is a public health research study on firearm violence in the Lehigh Valley.

- HealthStar (St. Luke's mobile health unit)

- Anti-drug and alcohol
- Prom/graduation night safety
