The term “vascular” refers to the arteries and veins in our circulatory system. The Vascular services at St. Luke's are designed to test and treat conditions of the blood vessels, including:
- Atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)
- Atherosclerosis of the cerebral arteries
- Aortic aneurysms
- Leg aneurysms
- Intermittent claudication in leg arteries (cramps in the legs)
- Renal hypertension (kidneys)
- Varicose veins in the legs
- DVT (deep venous thrombosis) in the legs
