St. Luke’s School of Nursing offers students social and scholarly activities designed to promote both friendship and learning opportunities.
Student Recognition
Annually, students who have demonstrated excellence within the School of Nursing will be honored at a Student Recognition Awards program. Categories of excellence include scholarships (GPA of 3.5 or above), student leadership and community service.
Socials
A variety of other events (e.g., recognition receptions, holiday dinner-dances, etc.) are offered throughout the school year. These are planned by student organizations, Student Services and other groups.
Priscilla Payne Hurd Lectureship
This annual nursing lectureship is held in the spring of each year. The purpose of the lectureship is to bring national-level nursing leaders to the St. Luke’s campus to enhance the academic program and clinical practice. This event includes a keynote speaker and workshops.
