St. Luke’s Regional Breast Center
Designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by American College of Radiology
Diagnostic Breast Care in a Comfortable Setting
St. Luke's Regional Breast Center,
the first facility of its kind in
the region to provide higher-level
breast imaging exclusively, has
been designated a Center of
Excellence by the American
College of Radiology.
Women who have breast health concerns now have access to St. Luke's Regional Breast Center - the first facility of its kind in the region to provide diagnostic mammograms or higher-level breast imaging exclusively.
In most instances, women requiring diagnostic follow-up care are offered an appointment the same day and potential for same-day biopsy if needed. Also, in an effort to help patients relax, the Center offers these services in a serene, nurturing environment and features private, spacious changing rooms with Internet access.
- Digital diagnostic mammograms
- Same-day breast ultrasound
- Ultrasound-guided core biopsy
- Stereotactic core biopsy

Expert Staff Specially-Trained in Breast Health
In addition to providing the best digital imaging available today, the St. Luke’s Regional Breast Center has highly-skilled technologists, breast health nurses and radiologists who are fellowship-trained in diagnostic mammography. The radiologists will study the images and provide verbal results during the appointment. In many cases, a same day biopsy can be performed for the fastest possible results. The breast health nurses, who have special training in breast health, guide patients through every step of the diagnostic process.
This means that women will receive all the information they need to make good health care decisions in a timely fashion.
St. Luke's Screening Sites
All of St. Luke's Women's Imaging Sites offer all-digital mammography, which usually takes less than half the time of the traditional film-based exam. It also allows for better visibility of the breast, particularly near the skin line and chest wall, and in women with dense breast tissue. It is helpful for women with implants and for imaging patients with known abnormalities. Digital exams can be viewed on secure workstations anywhere in the world, allowing physicians to compare current images to past images.
St. Luke's is an international show site for GE Healthcare. Women benefit from state-of-the-art imaging technology from GE at all St. Luke's locations.
