Chaplains, Priests, Rabbis and other Religious Support
Medical crises frequently lead to urgent spiritual concerns. Chaplains associated with St. Luke’s Department of Pastoral Care offer conversation and advice. They are available 24-hours-a-day to provide pastoral care and counseling. They also address the sacramental needs of patients and families. You may talk with chaplains about both accepting and refusing medical treatment and developing advance directives such as living wills and durable medical power of attorney.
Admitted patients will be asked if they belong to a faith community and if they wish to have their clergy notified of their hospital admission. The pastoral care chaplains will make contact with the appropriate clergy member when requested.
