Adult Volunteer Opportunities at St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital
The following list represents volunteer opportunities for adults at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. All shifts for each volunteer opportunity are approximately three to four hours per visit as indicated. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please call 215-538-4846.
Emergency Department Greeter – Greets people and assists staff with clerical and runs errands. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 am to 12 noon.
Front Desk Greeter – Greets people, signs vendors in, direct patients/visitors to rooms and doctors’ offices. Friday, 8 am to 12 noon.
Gift Shop Assistant – Greets customers and completes sales, helps with the daily upkeep of the shop.
- Monday, 4 to 8 pm
- Second and fourth Wednesdays, 4 to 8 pm
- Friday, 4 to 8 pm
- Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to 2 pm and 4 to 8 pm
Hospitality Cart – Visits patient rooms on the surgical units and offer patients and visitors coffee, tea and cookies. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 2 to 3 pm.
OR Surgical Assistant – Acts as a liaison between the surgical staff and waiting families/friends by obtaining information on patient status. Tuesday to Friday, 9 am to 1 pm.
Pastoral Care Visitor – Visits new admissions and acts as a liaison between patient and their home church. Friday, 2 to 3 pm.
APU - Assists with patient care and discharging patients.
